Bantry Bay Guide

Bantry Bay is one of Cape Town's most affluent suburbs. The name was changed during World War 1 from Botany Bay. Located on the slopes of an extinct volcano, Lions Head, the history of Bantry Bay is vast. There is a good choice of accommodation in the area to suit all tastes and budgets, and visitors find that the location creates a wonderful seclusion from the often windy city.
