Milton Guide: Spend Less, Do More

Welcome to Milton

The rural town of Milton located approxomately 50km south of Dunedin on Highway 1, has a number of charming historic buildings that are well worth looking out for.

For example, the McGills Flour Mill and the Alliance Textile, built in the late 18oo's. The textile mill is still in operation! Tours of the mill are available so check in with the local information centre.

Old Sod Cottage dates from the 1860's and miners heading for the goldfields of Tuapeka often stopped there, so there is plenty of history around it.

For fishing, Bull Creek and Toko Mouth are well worth a cast.
